IOREBTA (Interest on Real Estate Brokers Trust Account)
Created by the CT Legislature, the IOREBTA is a program that requires CT Real Estate Brokers to deposit funds held in escrow into interest-bearing accounts. The interest is automatically transferred to the CT Housing Finance Authority (CHFA), which provides mortgage assistance to low- and moderate-income families in need of new homes.
